Glad to Know You Brad is the song I dedicated to Brad Paisley. I didn’t know Belmont University existed until I read Brad’s biography when I was in high school. I stayed determined to attend Belmont University with a special diploma, and GED, and go for my AA degree. I've attended Brad Paisley concerts in Tampa since 2007. His concerts were more than just music, meeting his crew and other fans became friendship. Not knowing how far I could reach my goal I used Brad as my guide to lead the path of my dreams and wasn't doing it for fame. I was inspired by the graphic design that he used in the background along with his music at the concerts. In concert 2021 Brad's first tour since 2017 and after covid in Tampa. I had a poster that said, "Brad Paisley inspired me to get a college degree, and underneath said Belmont Bound". Brad noticed it and first, he waved as I didn't expect I won his hat! It gave me the courage to keep reaching my goal to attend Belmont. I graduated with an AA degree right before Brad's concert from South Florida State College and enrolled at Belmont University in Fall 2021 as a music business major. This song was written before I met Brad Paisley in person, but everything I did far as meeting crew, and fans, sitting in the audience, and learning about him a long way was closer to meeting him in person. I eventually made it on campus at Belmont after 2 years of taking online classes due to obstacles of housing and a shortage of caregivers. I met Brad in person for the first time at Hope Summit in the fall of 2023 on campus.
